It is time to gather our YEARBOOK STAFF for this school year!
If you are interested in joining the yearbook, please submit the following application by Friday, November 15th.
Ms. Bissonette and I look forward to working with you this year to create a fabulous yearbook!
The PTA will be selling cider and donuts for a $1 each during all three lunches FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15th
Please be advised:
Any assignment in student/parent connect that is dated 11/4 and AFTER is for this new marking period and should be completed.
If it is dated BEFORE 11/4, do not do it, those grades have already been posted to the report card.
The grades listed in student connect will also be incorrect for two weeks until the last marking period drops off there. Right now it is averaging both marking periods. It does this EVERY marking period and lasts for two weeks.
Questions? Email a teacher:)
Coding Club will be held after school on Friday this week rather than at our usual Thursday time.
You must come to conferences to pick up the first report card at the front door. Then you may walk around and visit the teachers you need to see.
Fall conferences will NOT be student-led this semester, but rather traditional style in each teacher’s classroom.
They will be student-lead in the Spring.
They will be drop-in style for the first two hours of each day.
Teachers will be calling to schedule specific conferences for struggling students.
Monday, Nov. 11 Drop-in 4-6pm, Scheduled by teacher 6-7pm.
Wednesday, Nov. 13 Drop-in 3-5pm, Scheduled by teacher 5-6pm.

S.T.E.M. has introduced Mindfulness and Social Emotional Learning to enhance our learning environment. The goal is to have students internalize life skills and apply them in the real world. Support staff and teachers will introduce interventions and mind sets that offer adolescents a purpose for learning that is larger than their own self-interest and help them adopt a positive attitude.
The first set of presentations for the students will be to hear Dr. DeSouza speak about mindfulness and setting a purpose. It will be held on November 12, 13 and 14 from 8 to 9 am in the MBCC Auditorium.
If you would like to preview the 12 minute TED talk, it is titled “There is more to life than being happy” by Emily Esfahani Smith. Research has found that adolescents who say they are learning in school so that they can make a positive difference in the world show greater grit (perseverance toward long-term goals), self-control, and greater behavioral persistence in college. We will be discussing work habits, task persistence, prosocial behaviors and social skills.
If you would like further information, please contact Dr. Joan DeSouza.
Thursday Nov. 7th is an A day.
Because of conflicting schedules between board game club and academics games 6th grade board game club on Wednesday is cancelled until the end of academic games season in January.
