Marla Kimmel is excited to join STEM middle school this year as our new science (6th, 7th, 8th grades) and 8th grade STEM Apps teacher. She has a strong background in education, she has taught math and science in Oklahoma and Texas before spending the last 19 years teaching at American schools overseas in Iceland and Japan. Recently, Mrs. Kimmel moved to Michigan to be closer to family. She has primarily taught middle school science, along with courses in math, history, yearbook, and creative thinking. Her husband, Paul, is an art teacher, and her child, Ollie, is a junior at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Kimmel enjoys reading, sewing, cooking, and paper crafting. She looks forward to bringing her passion for science and STEM education to the students this year.
Let’s be sure to give her a warm STEM welcome!
