STEM Learning Plan

*Updated corrections have been made to the teacher schedule.

From the STEM family to your family, we hope that you have been staying safe and healthy.

As you may have heard and seen from Dr. Maleyko, the Dearborn Public Schools Continuity of Learning Plan has been accepted by WRESA; and therefore, the state.   Attached are two documents:  The STEM Continuity of Learning Plan that details how we will continue to deliver instruction moving forward and also attached is the schedule of teacher office hours and Google Hangout hours.

Part of the district plan requires teachers to make three personal contacts with every student, every week.  STEM teachers will be doing this through a video posted in their Google Classrooms, office hours (held through Google Hangouts), and Hangout classes each week.  Office hours (through Google Hangout) are a time that students can drop in at any time during that half hour to ask questions or get help, live, from the teacher.  A Google Hangout is an actual class where teachers will be delivering content and/or having class discussions.

In order to get all the required hours of contact in, some classes for a student will be back-to-back.  Google Hangouts are HIGHLY recommended as this is where specific content will be discussed/delivered.  Office hours (through Google Hangouts) are only necessary if a student needs help or has a question.

Please see the attached documents for specific details.
